Unser Programm & Special Events 2008

Frequenzia ist eine junge Partyreihe aus dem Rhein-Main Gebiet, die sich im laufe des letzten Jahres vorallem in Bad Homburg zum festen Bestandteil der elektronischen Subkultur etwickelt hat. Die Partys fanden jedoch nicht nur in Bad Homburg statt, auch in Wiesbaden und Frankfurt konnten sich die 3 Resident DJs muskalisch etablieren.
Der Sound von Frequenzia lässt sich nur sehr schwer in ein Genre zusammenfassen. Von deepem Clubhouse über abstrakten und hypnotischen Minimalsound bis hin zu treibendem Peaktime-Techno wird alles in den Sets der 3 Residents zu finden sein.
Wir freuen uns also auf eine neue wilde Party in der Cantina in Frankfurt.

5 Jahre Tanzhaus West – Huch, sind wir wirklich schon so alt? Jetzt wird es aber höchste Zeit sich bei all unseren Gästen, Freunden, DJs und Musikern zu bedanken. Dank euch haben wir in den vergangenen fünf Jahren einen festen Platz in der Frankfurter Clublandschaft gefunden und sind zu einer Location geworden wie es weit und breit keine zweite gibt. Ein Club mit Ecken und Kanten.  Mit einem abwechslungsreichen und innovativen Programm von Techhouse und Minimal über Electro und Goa bis Drum and Bass haben wir uns an der Schnittstelle zum Underground positioniert. Auf Glitter und Flitter haben wir zu Gunsten kleiner Eintritts- und Getränkepreise konsequent verzichtet. Sicher war das Tanzhaus nie der richtige Laden, um mit der neuen Gucci Tasche Gassi zu gehen dafür kann man bei uns großartige Künstler wie Tolga Fidan, Funk D’Void, Alec Empire, Storm, Ascii.Disko und viele andere für kleines Geld hautnah erleben. In diesem Sinne wollen wir es auch zu unserer Geburtstagsparty richtig krachen lassen und haben mit Kollektiv Turmstraße, Format:B und den Ohohohs drei außerordentliche Live Acts gebucht die jede Menge Partyspaß garantieren.

Fünf Jahre galoppierender Wahnsinn und weiter gehts...!

Das Hamburger Duo Kollektiv Turmstraße führt Minimal auf neue Wege. Weit ab von schnödem Geklicke steht das Projekt von Christian Hilscher und Nico Plagemann für einen federleichten Sound, der Ohren verwöhnt und Tanzbeine massiert. Ihre gemeinsame Arbeit begann 1999 in der gemeinsamen WG, die bald zum KTS Labor umfunktioniert wurde. Nach dem Motto „Jungend Forscht“ tüftelten sie lange an ihrem unvergleichlichen Sound, der heute auf Labels wie Connaissuer zu hören ist.

Ein mal den kompletten Wahnsinn bitte! Die Ohohohs sind wilde Grenzgänger. Das Frankfurter Trio beschreibt seinen Sound als eine cluborientierte Electro-Riot-Melange  Da werden fleißig Elemente aus Drum-n-Bass und Techno eingesammelt und mit ein wenig 80er Disco Sound und Punk Rock Fieber durch den Wolf gedreht. Mit den Ohohohs erwartet euch eine wild rockende Liveperformance. Ein Act zum durchdrehen.

Hinter den Plattentellern regiert ein Berliner Reimport. Faces Macher Peter Eilmes gehörte lange Jahre zu unsern treuen Stamm-DJs und wir sind froh, ihn in dieser besonderen Nacht wieder im Tanzhaus begrüßen zu dürfen. Wer Peter kennt, weiß, dass wird eine schier endlose Nacht. Für das Warmup sind erstmalig D.Soul und Nicolas Jablinski verantwortlich, die unter dem Label GROW schon einige ganz wunderbare Partys bei uns veranstaltet haben.

Traditionell feiert mit uns auch unser guter Freund und DJ Daniel Albéro seinen eigenen Geburtstag. Darum wird er auch in diesem Nacht gemeinsam mit Schnick S. und Po:ny den Sound in der Cantina bestimmen. Wir haben ihm dazu mit Format:B einen knalligen Special Guest auf seinen Geburtstagsfloor gebucht.

Das Berliner Projekt Format:B ist der Zuchthengst im Stall des Highgrade Labels. Mit ihrer neuen Doppel LP „Steam Circuit“ liefern sie kompromisslos für die Tanzfläche produziertes Material. Von finster bouncenden Tracks wie „Edding 850“ bis hin zu fröhlich bleependen Acid Tunes  garantieren Format:B einen wilden Ritt durch den elektronischen Stiljungel.  Dem Zeitgeist sind sie dabei oft eine Pferdelänge voraus.

Im RauchClub residieren drei unserer DJs, die natürlich auf einem Tanzhausgeburtstag nicht fehlen dürfen. Das unvergleichliche Mash-Up Duo MRM und Grille und der unglaubliche Mr. Stapf haben sich fest vorgenommen euch im eigenen Saft zu schmoren. Manche werden das Hexenkessel nennen, für andere ist es ihre heiß geliebte Toxic Family. Unser alter Freund Dr. Flow wird sie dabei mit freaky fröhlichen Vinyl-Eskapaden uneterstützen.

Wer bei soviel Rumpeldipumpel mal eine Pause braucht ist in der Minimal Chill Lounge bestens aufgehoben.  Dort werden euch Peter Schumann, Daniel Sadrina und Bo Irion mit feinstem Minimal und intelligenter Eelctronica verwöhnen. Musik für Kopf und Ohr.

Hmm… so können wir glatt noch fünf Jahre weiter machen. Die Zeit vergeht wie im Flug.

The will be a psychedelic art exibition featuring the works of:

++ WOLFGANG MARIA OLHÄUSER

Wolfgang Maria Ohlhäuser is an exotic educated graphic artist, living & working at the castle of Langenzell near Heidelberg. His paintings contain several facets, and the, at first seemingly realistic landscapes are artistically interwoven with fantastic to utopian elements. Wolfgang Maria Ohlhäuser exhibits his artwork not only in Europe, but also in south-east Asia. In 1975 his artistic career has begun, and since 1993 he performs lectureships in Thailand & Nepal. We are very happy the Wolfgang will exhibit and explain some of his artwork at the Fantasia Festival.

We will provide screenings of 3 very interesting movies dealing about all aspects of
Psychedelic Culture. The movies will be presented by the directors or producers:

FILM # 1:
++ COSM - The Movie

Grey is our guide on a cinematic pilgrimage through the Chapel of Sacred Mirrors gallery in New York City, where his vividly rendered depictions of human anatomy and transcendental imagery reflect the universal human experience with birth, death, family, love, and enlightenment as the unfolding iconic narrative. Fusing the power of music with stunning cinematography, director Nick Krasnic channels the raw power of Grey's art into a potent film odyssey that captures the essence of this unique sacred space, and offers rare, personal insight from one of the most significant artists of our time

FILM # 2:
THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE
"The Philosopher's Stone" is a unique doumentary of the international symposium "LSD - Problem child and Wonder Drug" (January 2006 / Basel, Switzerland) on the occasion of Dr. Albert Hofmann's 100th birthday. This documentary in German / English includes lectures presented by Albert Hofmann, Ralph Metzner, Alex Grey, Martin A. Lee and many more. These lectures decribe and discuss the complex aspects of LSD. This film is also framed by special visualized concert recordings of the Saturday's night symposium event performed by Akasha Project (sound recording of the LSD25 molecule), Star Sounds Orchestra and Guru Guru. Additional highlights exhibit exclusive interviews with two german artists: Thomas D. (musician) and Wolfgang Maria Ohlhäuser (painter)

FILM # 3:
ZEITGEIST: ADENDUM
Zeitgeist: Addendum, attempts to locate the root causes of the pervasive social corruption which was lectured in the first part of Zeitgeist, while offering a solution. This solution is not based on politics, morality, laws, or any other "establishment" notions of human affairs, but rather on a modern, non-superstitious based understanding of what we are and how we align with nature, to which we are a part. The work advocates a new social system which is updated to present day knowledge, highly influenced by the life long work of Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project.

There will be a large variety of stalls providing information and knowledge about all relevant psychedelic topics:

++ ALICE-PROJECT
On the traces of ’Alice in Wonderland’ the nonprofit grassroots Alice-Project looks behind the facades of daily realities and creates free spaces. The activities of Alice and the friendly project Connecta are all about ’Music, Mind and Politics’ in the sense of creative forms of expression, critical activism for social change, and last but not least, fun and personal development. One focus of Alice is the circulation of objective information on drugs, especially at parties and in schools. The project tries to establish a conscious relationship towards psychoactive substances, and helps drug-users with problems. Beside other events Alice and Connecta co-organize the international festival ’Gathering of the Tribes’.
